Every investor has the right to choose an investment option to obtain the coveted citizenship and passport of Grenada.

Prime Minister, Dr the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell said such drastic measures were taken to protect funds earmarked for investment in real estate projects.

Recently, Linda Taglialatela, The United States Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, noted and praised Grenada for its effective use of the Joint Regional Communications Center (JRCC). This center is used to conduct due diligence for individuals seeking citizenship and a passport through the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program.

On a recent tour of the site, Grenada Prime Minister, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, was impressed by the progress of the Kimpton Kawana Bay project. Together with Honourable Nickolas Steele, the Prime Minister saw the beginning of the construction of the fourth (and last) building.

489 people received citizenship in the first half of 2020 because of the investments in the country. In total, during this time, the country received more than 40.1 million US dollars. This is the best result for Grenada in the first half of the year compared to previous years. If the country continues at the same pace, then 2020 could be the fourth record year in a row.

From January to June 2020, more than US$7 million was donated to the treasury of Grenada through the Citizenship by Investment Program. That is, on average, the country received more than US$1.2 million per month. However, this amount is less compared to the same period in 2018 and 2019.

Since 2013, Grenada has been offering foreigners to invest in the country and obtain citizenship in return through the Citizenship by Investment program. The money received from investors goes to the development of tourism, agriculture, hotels, manufacturing, and services.

Grenada is a "spice isle" that attracts more and more investors from all over the world every year. The Citizenship by Investment Program allows a foreign investor to make a donation to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) or invest in accredited real estate to obtain citizenship.

The World Travel & Tourism Council WTCC recently released the world's first safety and hygiene stamp. Some of the very first countries to use it are Sri Lanka and Grenada. Other countries are joining them, one after another.
