Cyprus annual sales of real estate reach eleven-year high
/In 2019, the number of properties sold in Cyprus exceeded 10,000, reaching the highest level since 2008 (according to statistics from the Department of Land Resources and Research).
As shown in the statistics below, in December 910 sales contracts were signed, compared to 800 such contracts in December 2018. Despite the fact that in Paphos and Limassol, the indicators decreased by 4% and 2%, respectively, in the other three areas they increased. So, most of all the indicators grew in Larnaca (by 57%), followed by Famagusta (an increase of 39%) and Nicosia (37%).

The total number of real estate sales in 2019 was the highest in the entire history of monitoring since 2008 (then 14,667 real estate properties were sold), with sales growth in all areas.

As a percentage, Nicosia saw the highest increase in sales (by 44%), followed by Larnaca and Paphos, where sales grew by 17%. At the same time, sales in Limassol and Famagusta grew by 3% and 2%, respectively.
In fact, Limassol took a leading position with 3,517 properties sold, followed by Paphos and 2,630 sales, followed by Nicosia and 1,998 sales. Close the list of Larnaca and Famagusta with 1,568 and 653 sales respectively.
