Belize Welcomes Vaccinated Travelers Without Test

Back in October, Belize reopened its tourist season. And more recently, the country has allowed vaccinated travelers to enter without a negative test.

It is the first Caribbean country to offer this option.

In lieu of a negative test, vaccinated travelers must provide a vaccination record card dated at least two weeks before travel date.

Unvaccinated travelers will be required to provide a negative PCR test result within 96 hours of travel or a negative rapid antigen test within 48 hours of travel.

“The decision to ease the restriction on travelers who have received the COVID vaccine has been facilitated by the reduction in daily new cases across the country,” the Belize Tourism Board said in a statement. “Belize has been very successful in its efforts to control the transmission of COVID-19 over the past few weeks; presently, there are less than 100 active cases countrywide, and the numbers have been consistently decreasing.”

How Safe is Traveling to Belize?

The World Travel and Tourism Council has given Belize the Safe Travel Label. It is the first global safety and health label for the travel industry.
